PHOTOGRAMMETRY SOFTWARE PROGRAMMER
Position Open March 2009
Full-time position to perform C++ and Windows/LINUX programming as part of a team that is developing a new (patented) modular and scalable digital aerial geoimaging sensor architecture and processing workflow (both on board and ground post processing). Software design and development requires in depth knowledge of photogrammetric and geodesy mathematical foundation, as well as programming of software for ortho generation, camera models, geometric and radiometric camera calibration procedures, block adjustment, point matching, direct positioning, virtual frames, aerial triangulation, and GPS processing.
Position requires evaluating existing software and developing new software using state-of-the-art hardware 64-bit architectures. Work cooperatively with other team members to design, develop, implement and test integrated photogrammetric and image processing software workflows. Experience in implementing real time systems a plus.
Qualifications: Demonstrateable experience in designing, programming, testing, and deploying photogrammetric software. Hands on with COTS photogrammetric workflows such as ZI, LPS, BAE gxp or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of software development experience and a successful track record with product development and maintenance in photogrammetry. Strong communication, verbal, and written interpersonal skills a must.
Education: Bachelor of Science or higher in photogrammetry, geodesy a related field is required. Demonstrated software development ability required. Applicant must provide a code sample upon request for review. Applicant must provide at least three references for a routine background check indicating a stable work history and/or education.
